Application Process

Applications to participate in our courses are made online via the ONLINE APPLICATION process. The online application process takes about 20-30 minutes. The first time you access the online application, you will be asked to create a login ID and password. Once you have started your application, you can save and finish later by returning to the application at any time by re-entering your login ID and password. However, you must complete before the application prior to the application deadline for your course.

Before you fill out the online application you’ll need to have the following ready:

  • Personal Information
  • Educational History of all higher post-secondary institutions attended, and dates attended.
  • Personal Statement of interest
  • Resume or Curriculum vitae and academic documents. The supporting documents you need to process your application may vary but you must provide copies of your academic transcripts or certificates. All documents should be in English or be accompanied by a certified translation into English.

Please follow the instructions provided in each section of the application.

Once you have completed all sections of the application and have verified that you entered your information correctly, click submit application.

Once you have submitted your application and has been received, the Continuing Professional Development Committee will decide with respect to qualifications and level of experience, according to the brief description of professional background provided in the application. Only selected applicants will be emailed a link and asked to complete the registration forms and methods of payment. Registration is confirmed on payment of the course fees.

Personal Statement

As part of your application you will need to write a personal statement. Personal statements give you the chance to tell us about your interest(s), and the process of writing a personal statement can often help you to better understand your academic interests and intellectual motivations.
In your personal statement, we’d like you to:

  • explain your reasons for wanting to participate in your chosen course
  • demonstrate enthusiasm for and commitment to your chosen course
  • express any particular interests within the field
  • outline how you have pursued your subject interest in your own time

International Students

International applicants are advised to apply online as early as possible to ensure that they have time to apply for their visa. If you have any difficulties applying online please contact our admissions office.

Our academic registrar has up to date knowledge of Uganda immigration laws and visa application process. If you have any question about visas and immigration, please contact the academic registrar. Please ask your questions early, before the issue becomes urgent.

Travel and Accommodation

Participants are expected to cover their own travel costs; however, arrangement can be made for airport pick-ups.  Accommodation in a standard hotel in the vicinity of the course venue will be arranged on request.  For more information, please contract our academic registrar
